QDA Miner
An impressive workshop was announced today via the Qualitative Research for the Human Sciences list (QUALRS-L@LISTSERV.UGA.EDU)
I have not used this software and hope to learn more about the benefits for users working with multiple data sources.
14th & 15th June 2010 QDA Miner 2-day Introductory Workshop, University of Surrey, UK
QUIC and the CAQDAS Networking Project are delighted that Normand Peladeau, of Provalis Research will lead this two day workshop.
This workshop provides an introduction to QDA Miner, a software designed to provide qualitative and quantitative (content) analysis of qualitative data. The workshop focuses on the basic tools and tasks required to set up a project efficiently; the processes involved in organising and coding data; and the more sophisticated tools for searching, comparing and representing data. Participants will have the opportunity to work with their own data during the workshop, to plan their use of software and talk to tutors about their projects. The course will suit those who are complete beginners and those who have looked at the software and tried to use it in a limited extent. However you should have some idea about what your approach to qualitative data analysis will be. The course does not teach you ‘how to do’ qualitative data analysis per se. Participants will have the opportunity to work with their own data during the workshop, to plan their use of software and talk to tutors about thier projects.
